Spring and summer are the seasons in which we must take even more advantage of our outdoor spaces, such as the patio and the garden, since the climate is ideal to organize gatherings, parties and celebrations which we could not have with the cold of December or November rains. Given this, this season is perfect to organize that special event one of these weekends.

Take note of the following tips and start making that to-do list and shopping that must be done to make your party or gathering a success.

1. Take advantage of the sunlight

Something that will always be useful (and it is also free) is sunlight. Set an hour in the evening where your guests can arrive when there is still enough natural lighting and you won’t have to resort to electric lighting.

If the weather for that day is cool, the sun will be a good incentive for your guests; further, you can use umbrellas or blankets to soften the intensity of the suns rays.

2. Organize your guest list

An important part to take into account before knowing who you will invite is the space. We can’t invite 100 people into a 2 × 2 space, right? Therefore you need to curate your guest list and narrow it down to only the most important people.

If your garden is very small it is not a good option to put too many tables and chairs, since there will be limited space for people to move around comfortably, so ideally limit yourself and have a much more “intimate” concept.

3. Think about the furniture

The main thing is to take into account how many people are going to accompany you. Once you have this number, you will need the precise number of tables and chairs for your event. For example, if you are inviting 30 people, try to find two tables for 15 people or three for 10 people, and find out how to distribute them best.

Do not forget to place tablecloths that match the theme of your party; It will always be much more pleasant to have this type of detail in events like this.

4. Take care of your companions

If your party is in the garden, think about putting down some kind of special carpet,we don’t want there to be accidents when stepping on the grass or the dirt. Furthermore, we keep our guest’s shoes a little cleaner.

Always have a plan B and consider renting an “awning” or “tent” in case of rain; It would be a shame to have everything ready and that an unforeseen rain spoils the moment.

5. Be creative with the decoration

Create a much more festive setting with seasonal décor. The garden is already a beautiful setting for a celebration, although a little more color will not make anyone feel bad.

what you can use to decorate:
  • Flowers
  • Balloons
  • Garlands
  • A table with candy
  • Candles
  • Led lamps
  • Paper lamps

6. Prepare your meal in time

The best thing to do for a party is to order food in advance. Try to please all your guests and don’t look for overly trite options.

If your option is to prepare it yourself, take the time to organize yourself and have everything ready for the right time; we don’t want your guests to be impatient to eat.

We recommend avoiding the kitchen, you will have enough work organizing everything else. Take into account how many guests are confirmed and make an estimate of how much food you are going to need, remember: “It is better to have more than you need, than not enough”.

7. Give the garden some spirit

We already have the guests, the furniture and the food, what do we need? The music. A party is not a party without a good musical selection. choose your playlist with the best songs of yesterday and today and give your guests a good time .

Let no one stay seated! Everyone dancing or singing karaoke.

It is always fun for your family and friends to participate in the party activities, you can even give small prizes or souvenirs to the most outstanding guests. It’s a fun way to thank them for joining you.
