Summer vacations are one of the most anticipated times for those who are students at home, but also by those who are not, since they can take a well-deserved break from morning chores such as getting the kids ready, checking homework, preparing backpacks and lunch boxes, among other day-to-day feats.

Back to school is almost here and school activities at their primary levels will resume, so we need to get back into the best routine. Therefore, today we bring you simple ideas to make back to school a success, and resume the routine in the best possible way.

Hours of rest

We are aware that the school year is about to begin, but the ideal is to accustom children to go to bed early at least a week before classes resume. With this, you will avoid that the day before starting they are restless and may lose sleep. Try to maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere in the rooms, don’t stun them with television or video games.

School supplies

Avoid the problems and do not buy school supplies the day before the return to classes; don’t even do it in the same week. Why complicate life? You can stock the list at least two weeks in advance. The best days are weekdays in the morning hours.

Organize backpacks and lunch boxes quietly

For backpack

When the cycle begins it is not necessary for children to carry a backpack full of things they don’t need. Remember to let them know that the most important thing is to arrive with a good attitude to their first day in class. Prepare only a couple of notebooks and a pen with the essentials, and when classes actually start pay special attention to their schedules. No child wants to carry books and notebooks that they won’t need.

For the lunch box

Weekly you can buy what is necessary for your children’s lunch, so you only worry about combining (preferably the night before) what they need for the next day. Keep in mind to keep the kitchen clean and uncluttered so as not to freak out the next morning in case you have to use it.

Avoid sweets or junk food, and opt for juices, fruit and light foods such as sandwiches or nutrition bars.

The uniforms

Don’t make large unnecessary expenses. If the uniform from the previous cycle is still in good condition (and your child is the same size) you do not have to restock the entire school wardrobe; This applies to tennis shoes, socks, backpacks, etc.

You can leave this budget for the middle of the cycle if you see that the wear is beginning to show.

The traffic

Keep in mind that the first weeks are always synonymous with road chaos. Therefore, take the time you consider necessary to make sure you get there at least 10 minutes before the start of classes.

If you can get to the campus walking you will kill two birds with one stone because you will not waste gas in vain and avoid the annoying morning traffic.

If you go by car take alternate routes, and once at school do not take too long to say goodbye to your children, don’t forget that there are people waiting to do the same as you and not all have planned out their time sufficiently.

These tips are focused on the functional part, but don’t forget the emotional aspect! That is in your hands. Stay close to your children in the days before the end of the holidays. Let them know that they can lean on you in the school year thats beginning and to not hesitate to talk with you about things that seem difficult; the family is a team and we can count on each other.

We hope these tips are helpful for you. Remember that we have new ideas for you weekly, for your home and your family.
